Greetings!!

The 2010-2011 AAII "season" is almost upon us. Our most immediate order of business is the election of Atlanta chapter officers. First I would like to thank all that served as officers and volunteers during this past year. Every bit of help is much appreciated and helps to ease the challenge of running our monthly chapter meetings. If you can volunteer some time to help at registration table for chapter meetings or in the planning part of our activities, please send me an email.

We are in the process of lining up some great programs, topics and speakers starting in September and we expect to continue to use the Cobb Galleria Convention Center for our venue. We are also considering a holiday party/chapter meeting in early December. Stay tuned for more details - and of course, send us any suggestions (personal financial planning? mutual funds and index funds? income investing? equity (stock) investing? estate planning? "hard" assets?).

As a reminder, you do NOT need to be a member of AAII (www.aaii.com) to attend our chapter meetings or subgroup meetings. They are open to the public and we encourage you to bring a friend or two. There is a nominal fee ($10 in advance, $15 at-the-door) to cover our overhead of the facility rental, presentation equipment and costs of the program.
